Portal Feeds & Integrations: FAQs
Q: What is a Portal?
A: A Portal is a website connected to your CRM, such as Realestate.com..au or Domain.com.au.
Q: How do I set up a new portal with Agentbox?
A: In order to activate additional export(s), you will need to submit a request to Agentbox with all the required information. You will need to have an existing relationship/account with the recipient portal/integrator. Please ensure you are already set up with the recipient portal/integrator before submitting your request to Agentbox. To submit a request, access the Help Centre by clicking on the '?' in the bottom right-hand corner of your CRM, and selecting 'I would like to make a change to my system'.
Q: How long does it take to for a listing to be updated on a portal?
A: Agentbox feeds listing updates roughly every 10 minutes, it usually takes 30-60 minutes for most portals to process/update the listing.
Q: What if my property doesn't appear correctly on a portal?
A: You can check the portal feed logs (supported portals only) for a property by clicking the portal feed action icon at the top of the property card. If there is an error message, make the required corrections to the property and hit save to resend to the portal. If you have checked the portal logs and found there is no issue recorded please contact support@agentbox.com.au who will investigate this issue for you. Please allow a minimum of 1 hour for the feed to be sent and only call/email support if 4 hours or more have passed.
Q: How do I cancel a portal that our office has set up with Agentbox?
A: Please send an email to our Support team at support@agentbox.com.au with the details of your request.
Q: What if I don't want to advertise a price on my listings and would like to still advertise the listing?
A: As per your agreement with your portal provider, you are obliged to provide a sales price for all listings (regardless of whether or not they are confidential listings) and failure to do so will result in the automatic rejection of the listing by the portal.
In order to meet the obligations of your portal agreement, and to conform with the industry-standard XML format used to facilitate the transfer of this data, when a listing is marked as ‘Confidential Price’ the sales price is sent to the portal along with an indicator that instructs the recipient to keep the sale price hidden.
It the sole responsibility of the recipient of the data to ensure they comply with the ‘Confidential Price’ instruction and any breaches of this need to be discussed directly with the relevant third party. Please note that as Agentbox does not have an agreement with the third party and we are unable to do this on your behalf.
Q: Can I send a 'dummy' sales price to mask the actual sales price?
Should you decide to send a ‘dummy’ sales price in order to mask the actual sales price, you do so in acknowledgment and acceptance of the following:
- It is in breach of your agreement with the portal.
- It is not recommended by Agentbox.
- It will adversely affect the integrity of your database and reporting.
