Configuration Options Welcome SMS

To SMS you will need to have Agentbox SMS activated and SMS credits, click here to find out more.

A Welcome SMS can be automatically sent to inspection attendees immediately upon check-in. Click here to learn how to Add Inspection Attendees.

When adding a new attendee, you can select whether to send the automated SMS using the Send Welcome SMS checkbox for each attendee added and your selection is remembered for the next attendee.

Welcome SMS messages are sent in the background, meaning you can immediately begin checking in your next attendee without delay.

How to Edit the Welcome SMS template

*Note: not all mobile devices will display a thumbnail.

A standard Welcome SMS template is available which includes a new ‘Property Web Link’ merge field, {$prop_web_link} that provides a direct link to the listing on your Agentbox website, landing page or external site if configured. This can be overridden for each listing by adding a custom “Property Web Link” via Listing Resources > Links.

The standard Welcome SMS template can be edited by a Master User or any existing SMS template that is shared to all staff can be assigned as the default by a Master User.

Master Users can configure the Welcome SMS to send from the ‘Inspection Agent’ or the ‘Main Listing Agent’. If the Welcome SMS Sender is set to ‘Main Listing Agent’ and the Inspection Agent does not have permission to send on behalf of the Main Listing Agent, the message will be sent from the Inspection Agent's mobile number.

Visit System Config > Inspection Configuration: Mobile App - Welcome SMS to adjust these preferences.

Note: The Welcome SMS is triggered when adding an Inspection Attendee via the Agentbox Mobile App by a particular User (Inspection Agent). The User must have ‘Send SMS’ permission and there must be SMS credits available in order for a Welcome SMS to be successfully sent.

*Note: Contacts with the ‘Do Not Contact via SMS’ preference will still be excluded from all other individual and bulk SMS workflows.

*Note: If an agent has no credits left, the SMS will also not send even if the toggle is turned on.

*Note: If the welcome SMS function has been updated to pull through a merge field and the merge field is empty, the SMS will not send, and the agent will not be notified at the open home. The success message is to say the attendee has been successfully checked in and not that the SMS has been sent.
